The referral of a case to Houston attorney Randy Sorrels in December 2005 has resulted in a boost in funding available this year to the State Bar of Texas Client Security Fund, which compensates clients victimized by dishonest lawyers.

In Memory of Jack Phoummarath - April 19, 1987 - December 10, 2005
Educational video regarding the dangers of university hazing and binge drinking provided by the family of Jack Phoummarath. Jack was a vibrant, young freshman student at the University of Texas Austin in 2005. At a required fraternity initiation ceremony, Jack and other pledges were required to drink all the alcohol provided to them by the active members. Jack became incapacitated as a result of consuming too much alcohol. When the event ended, Jack was left alone unattended and died.
